The mind circling back on itself until thought dissolves into silence.
The mind of this gate circles back, returning to the same thought seeking resolution. Its shadow is addiction, mental loops mistaken for progress. Its gift is invention: the returning mind striking something genuinely new on the hundredth pass.
The practice is to let the loop become a mantra rather than a prison, watching thought repeat until watching itself grows stronger than thinking. Between two thoughts there is a gap. Rest there, even briefly, and the gap widens into the silence this whole gate secretly seeks.
Addiction → Invention → Silence
